Newcastle Gateshead Initiative Future Chef of the Year
Students from Catering Colleges within the North East region are being given invaluable on-the-job-training with the "Future Chef" twinning scheme. Over a fortnight, the student apprentices will work alongside a designated Chef de Partie from a top local restaurant, gaining skills and confidence in the kitchen. During this time they will also prepare for a Ready Steady Cook style competition which will take place at the NECTA competition to be held at the Gosforth Park Marriott Hotel on Wednesday 21st May 2008.
